Close Call

I just had a very scary experience, and am still shaking!! While driving home with my two boys, we almost hit a truck that ran a red light- I mean he really ran this light! We were on Lakeshore Ave, so we were going about 43 mph. I have never come so close in my life to getting in an accident- I slammed on my brakes as hard as I could, hit my horn and braced for impact. There was nothing else I could do, it was so fast. I don't know how in the world I didn't hit that truck, or how the car behind me missed us as well. This could have been so very bad, and to think that I had two, (& 1/2), of the most precious things with me in the car made me realize how lucky we were. If we would have hit that truck going that fast, I honestly believe that we would have been seriously hurt, or worse. I know that we were protected at that moment- there is no other explanation other than the Lord was watching over us and saved me, my boys and our little one on the way. I feel very blessed and thankful right now and know that we were watched over today. It felt good to get home and hug my boys- this really shook me up! Don't take life for granted and pay attention when you are driving!!

Pumpkin Patch

Kaleb and mommy in the corn maze- at least Kaleb had fun this time. Last year he hated the corn maze!
The boys were obsessed with the bugs on the pumpkins- Jaren thought they were more exciting than the pumpkins themselves!
Classic Kaleb face!
Jaren kept hugging this pumpkin, but said he didn't want it- he was in a weird mood and kept saying no to every pumpkin we picked out. He wasn't very interested!
Here we are on the hay ride after we got our pumpkins.
Jaren was a little scared of the goats, but tried to pet this one. Kaleb wasn't scared at all though!
The boys on the top of the hay pyramid.
This is the little hay maze that the boys always have fun in.
These were rubber ducky races, they had a lot of fun with these.

The boys in the corn maze.
Jaren got tired of walking and ended up on daddy's shoulders or in mommy's arms.
Pumpkin launching- we almost got one in!
Jaren trying it out.
I think Jaren would have stayed on this the whole time if he could have.

Dress Up?

So I guess boys like to play dress up too- this time it was daddy's biking gear. I walked in and found Kaleb all set to go- he did it all by himself. He then decided do dress Jaren up and did that all by himself, I thought it was really cute!!!

He's got the shorts on underneath, pretty good.

Jaren was all too happy to let brother dress him up!

What a ham!

Push it

Sorry, I couldn't resist- I thought this was so funny I couldn't stop laughing. Yes, he is really just saying "push it" I swear, it just sounds bad.

Fun around the house

Just a few fun pics of the boys being... well, boys around the house. They are so much fun, I love these little guys!

I guess they couldn't find anything else to climb on so they had to use the fridge- nice! Kaleb was teaching Jaren how to perfect it, he teaches Jaren a lot of fun things like this!!
Jaren is obsessed with shoes. He got so attached to these ones that he didn't want to take them off before we left- he was actually crying.
Kaleb with his buddy- Kya really loves this kid, they have so much fun together!

Sprinkler System

We are finally putting in our sprinkler system! Our yard is a bit of a dirt mess right now, but it will look so nice when it is all done. Jason's dad came to help for a few days, thanks dad- we had a fun time with you here! Jason has been working really hard on his days off and at night when he gets home- good job hun!! This is just the beginning, I will post the pics when we have our grass, which shouldn't be too long!
