can we pray?
Tonight I was humbled by my 6 year old. The past few days Kaleb has been asking a lot about fires and worried that we could have one in our house. He has come to me several times "scared about fires" as he puts it. I have explained what we will do if there ever is a fire. Well, after I had put the kids to bed and after I had sent Kaleb to bed one other time, I found him out of bed again. I told him a little frustrated and in an exasperated tone that he needed to go to bed. He then broke into tears and asked me if we could say a prayer because he was scared of having a fire. My heart melted and I went and knelt with both of my sweet boys and offered a prayer of comfort and of course, no fires. I saw relief and calmness come over my Kaleb and I felt such a warmth in my own heart. What an amazing and sweet boy I have. If I could just use this in my own life- how many times am I scared and don't think to pray for comfort? What a lesson my little boy has reminded me of tonight, and I am so thankful.

best friends
These two may fight at home and at times not get along, but they truly are best friends. I watch as Kaleb takes care and protects Jaren and I just love it! I can see these two just getting closer the older they get. What a blessing they are!
At the luau, Kaleb made sure Jaren was included in everything and held his hand almost the entire time. It was so cute! He was right there to "protect" Jaren when one of the kids tried to take one of his gummy bears and there to defend him when one of the girls called him a baby. It was really said innocently, but it apparently offended Kaleb and he had to make a point of telling her that his little brother wasn't a baby. He's such a good big brother.
no more school!
Well, Kaleb is no more a kindergartner! I can't believe how fast this school year has gone by and how much Kaleb has grown and learned.
They had a luau party for all the summer birthdays. There was a treasure hunt, the limbo and yummy food for all. Jaren got to jion in as well!
This is Kaleb's teacher, Mrs. Clegg. What an amazing person she is- it truly takes someone special to be a teacher! She has been wonderful for Kaleb and he has grown to love her, (so have I). Although it was hard sending my first baby to school, knowing he was with such a great teacher made it much easier. I am really going to miss her.

little man turns 3
I can't believe Jaren is 3! What an amazing and fun little guy though. He's got quite the personality and lets you know what he wants. He's hilarious and keeps us all laughing. His big day consisted of Wendy's with Grandma, Mommy and Elliana, some fun outside and out to dinner as a fam. We also had a family party at my parents just yesterday, lots of fun.
What's a birthday without some ice cream?
Field Day
Kaleb had field day today for school and I was able to go for a while- thanks to my mom and sister! It was fun watching Kaleb just enjoy himself and have a blast! Although, I'm pretty sure I have the most competitive child in kindergarten, seriously! This kid is crazy and has to win- I have no idea where he would have gotten that- haha!!!
That's an egg on the spoon- not a real one though!
