Merritt's Baptism Day

My little sister was baptized yesterday, we are so proud of her and glad that we got to be a part of her big day!!  After the beautiful baptism we went to my parents and had some yummy food, played some baseball and then the adults went out to eat at The Old Spaghetti Factory.  It was such a nice day and so much fun spending time with the family.  My brother Jordan and his fiance' even drove from Rexburg, Idaho for the special event.

Jason got a few candid shots of Kaleb and me- he was kind of bummed and I was trying to figure out what was wrong. I didn't know Jason was talking pics and I really liked some of them.
Look at that sad little face- he cheered up though!!
There's Uncle Holden helping Jaren with the bat, cute!
What a cuttie
Doesn't she look pretty!!!
This is my brother Jordan and his fiance Anneli, isn't she beautiful- good job Jordan!!!
The girls and Kaleb- I have a feeling I am going to be saying that a lot the older he gets.
Some baseball fun
Sometimes things get physical when we play sports- here's Jordan wrestling with my dad

Surprise visit

Yesterday we had a wonderful surprise visit from Sam and Melissa and their two cute boys.  They have been traveling for a week or so from Vermont and decided to stop by on their way to Olympia- Sam is doing his Residency there!!  I was shocked to see Melissa standing at the door and so, so happy!!!  We had not met sweet little Nigel yet, 5 weeks old, and had not seen them since Christmas.  It was so great to see them and we are so excited now to have them closer for a while- for good I hope :)!  Thanks for thinking about us Sam and Lissy!!!

I couldn't get enough of this adorable little guy
Little Nigel so sweet, it's easy to forget how small they are!!

Jason got home from work just in time to get to visit for a bit before they had to get back on the road.  He was loving the baby time!
There's cute Owen having fun with our puppy and playing with toys, of course!!

Merritt's Birthday

My little sister Merritt turned 8 May 20th.  She will be baptized this saturday.  Here are some pictures of her party at my parents.

Kaleb had to help blow out the candles, so nice of aunt Merritt to let him!
She was so surprised to see her new bike!
The munchkins on the lawn mower.
Jaren was ready to go on the mower!!

Multnomah Falls

So we decided to hike Multnomah Falls again.  The first time we tried we could only go part way because the trail was a thick sheet of ice.  This time the weather was perfect and we had a great time.  It's a mile to the top falls, Jas had Jaren in the pack and Kaleb walked with me.  He did pretty good for walking 2 miles.  I made him hold my hand the whole way- there were a lot of long drop offs along the path!   When we made it to the top we stopped at the river and played for a bit.  It was so much fun!!!

We saw some friends along the way and they took this picture for us.

This is the view from the very top of the falls, you can't see much, but it's really high!

Jaren was out when we reached the bottom, he was so tired.
Here are some more pics of our fun hike.....

Here is a view of the falls on our way up, pretty cool.
Here we are at the top... we made it!
Jason joking around with the boys.
Kaleb and I went exploring a little, here we are on a log that hangs over the river.

The Zoo

I took the boys to the Zoo the other day.  It was a lot of fun and the boys had a great time.  We were exhausted by the time we left, but it was worth it!

The boys in the eagles nest
This is one of my favorite parts of the Zoo, feeding the Lorikeets!  It is a lot of fun to have them so close and even landing on you at times.  The boys loved this, we spent a long time here.

The boys thought the alligator was pretty cool.

Yard Work!!

Last week we spent Jason's four days off in the yard.  We planted 40 arborvitae, filled two huge garden boxes with 6 yards of dirt and cut sod around the house in different areas.  It was a lot of work.  We aren't done yet but we are slowly getting our yard in shape.  It was really nice to work with Jason in the yard, we had a lot of fun together and with the boys.

While Jason was digging holes for the arborvitae, he came across this rock- I think bolder would be more appropriate, it was huge.  It was so big that we both had to lift it out.  What a pain in the butt!  It probably took over an hour to get that thing loose.  Jason even named it... The bastard!!!  I couldn't have agreed more, it probably weighed 200-250 pounds, insane!

I couldn't believe how long it took to get that thing out, crazy!
Kya eating clovers, yum!

This is the first game that the coaches pitched to the boys, instead of using the T.  I was able to get Kaleb's first try, he did really good!!!
Here are just some random, fun pictures of the boys that I thought I would share.

We went to Farm Day at the Club and they got these fun masks that they wear all the time now!
Notice the book under Kaleb's arm- He was supposed to go right to sleep.  Obviously he read until he fell asleep, stinker!  It's cute though!!
Jaren is so proud that he can pick up Kya now, as you can see from his expression!  Kya on the other hand is not as impressed with the idea.  He does it all the time now that he knows how.  He walks around saying,  "pi' d up," meaning pick her up, it's so cute!!
